Producing

I am honored to be an Executive Producer of OLYMPIA, a film about my mentor, Academy Award-winning actress and amazing human, Olympia Dukakis.

This bio-documentary reveals both the public and private aspects of a woman who faced obstacle after obstacle as she learned how to be comfortable in her own skin and live life with blazing courage.

9/11

Anthoula Katsimatides was appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees for The National September 11th Memorial and Museum in NYC. She is the former assistant vice president for family relations at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC).

Katsimatides was the liaison to the family members of those who were murdered in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. Prior to the LMDC, Katsimatides was appointed assistant for community affairs for former New York Governor George Pataki since 2000; during this time she worked as a liaison to various ethnic communities in New York City. She also served as Governor Pataki's liaison to the 9/11 families. Katsimatides’ brother, John Katsimatides, was killed at the World Trade Center.

Hear from Trustee Anthoula Katsimatides on why this year's 5K run/walk means more to her than ever.

She joins the Steve Cochran Show to discuss her remarkable journey of carrying out a vital role while navigating her grief, keeping her brother’s spirit alive, and what it feels like to return to Ground Zero every year.

“If 9/11 taught me anything, it’s to believe in humanity—that people can come together in tragic, dark times and rise from those ashes.”

Anthoula Katsimatides’ brother, John Katsimatides, was killed on 9/11. Over 20 years later, she continues to honor his legacy by educating future generations about the lessons learned that day.

Anthoula Katsimatides’ brother worked on the 104th floor of one of the towers hit on 9/11. She's dedicated her life to emulating his kindness.

“His loss helped shape me into who I am today...I have learned to live out loud just the way my brother taught me”
